Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth has a heart for helping people discover their own story, feelings, and relational nutrients in order to live more fully. Elizabeth is passionate about the full life that she has received through her own recovery of heart and witnessed in her clients' lives. She loves caring for people by meeting them where they are in the midst of life’s pain and tragedy. She knows that healing comes through relationship and hopes to offer that to others through clients’ therapeutic experience.

Elizabeth has a varied practice working with married couples and adult men and women. During her time in graduate school, she worked at a substance abuse clinic and later with domestic violence and sexual abuse survivors. Elizabeth has experience in sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, postpartum anxiety/depression, emotional and physical intimacy issues in marriage, family issues, grief work, and addiction. She has been practicing in the Memphis area since 2014 at Sage Hill Counseling and Kardia Counseling. In 2021, Elizabeth decided to branch out on her own. She began Elizabeth Kennedy Counseling with the goal of creating a unique practice to offer her clients a safe, restorative, and hopeful place to encounter their own story and heart.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Memphis. She lived in South Carolina for eight years for college and while she pursued her master’s degree. She loves South Carolina and Florida beaches, walking, yoga, reading, cooking, candy, and going to see movies. She spends most of her free time with her husband, three children, family, friends, and church community.
